Content: 1869 April 27, Girgenti. Michele Pancucci guardian of the antiquities of Girgenti reports that the statue of Ceres and Proserpina was found in a fund belonging to Mr. Cavaliere Giambertoni. The statue was allegedly found laid in a tomb as a deceased. It is described inlaid with gold and silver and is said to hold a child by the hand.
